Restoring
Your Classic Car
Restoring classic cars
is a hobby whose growth has resulted in an entire industry devoted just to
classic, antique, a muscle cars. It doesn’t matter if it’s a Ford, Chevy,
Mopar, or even a Studebaker, someone specializes in parts and services to
make that car look new again. Enthusiasts devote huge amounts of time, money
and hard work in pursuit of the perfect restoration. Junk yards and parts
catalogs are searched for hours on end looking for those hard to find parts.
Many late nights are spent disassembling and reassembling engines,
transmissions, trim and interiors. Bodies are prepped, painted, sanded, and
buffed. You put all of these ingredients together: time, money, and hard work
and the result is is a beautiful antique or hot rod that you can be proud of.
Wouldn’t it be great if we could do the
same thing with our lives? What if we could just pull a catalog off the shelf
and replace all of the broken and missing parts of our lives? What do you
need for your life? Is it a restored relationship towards your spouse or
children? How about being able to control your temper or have a positive
attitude when things just never seem to go right? The problem is that those
ingredients that worked so well on our car: time, money, and hard work only
have a temporary impact on our lives. There always seem to be things that we
just can’t keep repaired, and missing parts that can never be replaced.
If these are problems that you are
facing, we have some good news for you. God has provided a way for you to
make your life brand new.

God I
know I am a sinner and I want to repent of my sins and receive Jesus Christ
as my Savior. I believe that Jesus died in my place to pay the penalty for my
sin and rose from the dead. I now trust in Jesus alone as my Savior and I
want to receive Your gift of eternal life.

Restoring
Your Life
The way that God has provided for you to restore your life is through his own
son, Jesus Christ. If you haven’t received Jesus as your Savior there is
something missing in your life that only Jesus can provide. God has even
provided us with an owner’s manual for our lives, it’s called the Bible, and
it contains every thing that we need to know in order to live our lives now
and prepare ourselves for eternity. Let me share some things that the Bible
says about our lives , and some things that it says we must do.
Each one of us must first realize that we are all sinners. Romans 3:23 lets
us know that we have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. You may
be asking yourself, if everyone is a sinner what’s the big deal? The problem
is that sin will result in death. Romans 6:23 says that the wages of sin is
death. This is both a physical death and an eternal death. Hebrews 9:27
says...it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment. The
person who dies a physical death without accepting Jesus as Savior will
experience eternal death and separation from God in Hell.
The good news is that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us. (Romans
5:8) This means that Jesus took our sins, died in our place, and then rose
from the dead. We must repent of our sins. The Bible says, God...now
commandeth all men everywhere to repent. (Acts 17:30) Jesus says...Except you
repent, you shall all likewise perish. (Luke 13:3) To repent of your sin
means to change your mind about sin, be genuinely sorry and turn from it. You
must call on the name of the Lord to be saved. Romans 10:13 says for
whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. You can have
your life restored simply by praying and asking for God to forgive you and
save you from your sins. It is your hearts attitude that counts, but here is
a simple prayer to help guide you.
